Johar HMO provides free primary medical care to the rural population in about 200 villages of Jharkhand through the Mobile Medical Vans. These mobile vans give free medical consultation and medicines to the poor.
A weekly and fortnightly visit to the villages ensures timely patient follow-up and maximum possible outreach. The patient data is recorded on the electronic medical record framework "Medimojo". A total of 45,550 patients were treated in the year 2015-2016
A well qualified team of healthcare professionals go out each day to serve the people. The team includes an MBBS doctor, a pharmacist, an ANM and an assistant.The mobile medical van provides treatment for basic illnesses like cough, cold, fever, infections, malaria, dengue, typhoid and hepatitis. Complicated cases are referred to the nearest hospitals. The services include curative medicine, with a focus on preventive medicine and maternal child health as well. The main aim is to encourage high quality healthcare and promote health-seeking behaviour.
